Restorative Exercise

Restorative exercise is a biomechanics based system of corrective exercises that are designed to rebalance the way you move your body for better health, improved posture and less pain. Apart from the alignment exercises that address your most pressing issue(s), it introduces sustainable and supportive modifications to your everyday or sports activities. This results in changing how your muscles bones and ligaments are loaded, improves blood and lymph circulation, and decreases pain and tension. Better alignment means a better posture and that you are better supported by your bones and muscles when you move or rest to minimise wear and tear and optimise cellular regeneration.

During a session (typical session is 75 minutes long), we start building your corrective program by looking at your lifestyle and your most pressing issue. The goal is to find what causes the pain or problem, to introduce the alignment markers that you should work on, and exercises to help you with progress.

After one session you would go home with 3-5 simple exercises and a few things to be mindful of during your days and to practise until the next session or until the problem is gone.

Restorative exercise is available as a one-on-one activity, workshops and classes.

Sessions are held in West End every Tuesday and Thursday. Cost of one session is $150. Packages and programs are available.
